Setting up Blitz Basic 2

Create a main Blitz Basic Directory on your HD such as:

PROGDIR:Blitz2/

Now create the following directories into the above location:

BlitzLibs/
REDHelp/

Edit your S:User-Startup file and add the following assigns:

Assign Blitz2: PROGDIR:Blitz2
Assign Blitzlibs: Blitz2:Blitzlibs

Here is where to extract the LHA files:

You should now have a directory like this:

_Blit2.info__________Icon for Blitz2

_help.dat___________Blitz help data
_Ted______________Blitz text editor
_Ted.info__________Icon for Ted
_Ted.Library**______Library file for Ted __

** Move the Ted.Library to LIBS:

Just double-click on the Blitz2 Icon to load.
I suggest you download some of the examples from
this site to get an idea of how the Blitz2 language works.

Pressing HELP over a command will give a quick overview
of its syntax. Pressing
RightShift-Help should bring up an
amigaguide for that command.

Download the docs.lha file which contains lots of information
as well as organised docs for the commands (Screen/Audio etc).
